For those of you who aren't aware, I've been hard at work on a written fantasy epic for a few years now. I've got an agent and we're currently on the hunt for the right publisher. It's a long journey, but I can't wait until this book finds a home and I can began to work on the rest of the story arc (because yes, it's a series!)

There are two main protagonists. The first of these is Mikayla, an Alvani, the last of her kind. The second is Rakim, a black-furred Feraaji with silver eyes, a network of scars, and a strange affliction of the mind and spirit. He is very, very dear to me, and I look forward to the day when he can make his debut to all you wonderful people. In the meantime, here's a peek at him practicing...
